You don’t know what you don’t know…. Brilliant, eh? But sooo true. I get to see quite a few people who will try a Discover Scuba experience when a friend asks them, or a boyfriend/girlfriend dare or it was a gift. Most are not sure they want to be there when the briefing starts…many are not sure they can do it when the get in the shallow water. With the right encouragement and a comfortable pace you can lure them underwater for their first breaths and then – BANG – they love it! They are having fun in the weightless world, passing the “Toy-pedo” around.
Opening the underwater world to people who don’t know what they are missing, in a slow and easy comfortable pace is what the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience is all about. All Pros should consider DSDs as an opportunity to build out their future classes and bring new divers into the fold.
